NEW CAST ADDITIONS TO DEEP TERROR

May 18, 2013 by Kerosene Films

We are excited to announce the addition of Jim Johnson in the role of the President, and David Born as the CIA Analyst, along with Pablo Bracho as the Secretary of Defense!

You may recognize Jim’s voice from the outstanding accent coaching system he’s developed which is available at the  Accent Help website. This training is the fastest way for any actor to get up to speed with a particular accent.

David Born is fresh off Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, and we are thrilled to have him aboard, as well as Paris Cudini, who did an outstanding job voicing the character of Jessica, and Pablo Bracho, who you may also recognize from the new Dallas!

Finishing up one of the last scenes for Deep Terror, we had a great production day with a group of top notch pros. It was a joy to work with these actors, we can’t wait to work with them again.

HOT FOR TEACHER: MODEL FIRED FROM TEACHING JOB

May 8, 2013 by Kerosene Films

Apparently you can’t be hot and a teacher… at least not in Florida. High school english teacher Olivia Sprauer was fired after the school principal learned of her extracurricular activities.

Working as a professional bikini model under the stage name Victora V. James, her website and model mayhem page display tastefully sexy images, that upon discovery, led to her dismissal from the school.

“I don’t make pornography,” she told the Huffington Post, “I take swimsuit glamour style photography.”

We’d be more inclined to show up for class with a teacher like this! How about you? Perhaps she will make a future career as a scream queen…

ANOTHER FORMAT WAR ON THE HORIZON?

May 8, 2013 by Kerosene Films

Do you own a Blu-ray player? Will it be the last format you ever need? Probably not. Fox Filmed Entertainment chief of technology Hanno Basse says “if there’s going to be another evolution of physical media, it absolutely has to be integrated with our digital strategy.”

But the digital platform Ultraviolet, hasn’t been fully embraced and “there’s not a lot of understanding behind it,” says SVP of Warner Bros Digital, Justin Herz.

3D, Higher resolutions and more interactivity have all been techniques use to increase user engagement with filmed entertainment. But how do you pull the Youtube generation away from quick, consumable, free content and back to a traditional media experience? Video games, social media and the endless timesuck that is the internet, makes it seemingly impossible to compete for disposable entertainment time.

4K televisions have 4 times the resolution of current HDTVs – but will that really be enough to draw consumers away from the other distractions? Is it to soon to ask consumers to spend money upgrading their media systems once again?

Have an opinion? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
